First DIY post- Lycra Bralet

First blog post on my DIY and design stuff so here goes! Bought a lovely little skirt and bomber to wear as a two piece and was determined to find a Bralet to wear underneath. After looking I found none that suited and so the sewing machine came out. A 30cm strip of White Lycra later and here we are!  I love how it turned out!! It wasn't too difficult to make and cost next to nothing but will go with so much! I'll pop the full outfit up on an outfit post at some point next week.  Hope you like!

Look out for this lovely lilac material making a DIY post in the near future!

Pastel Perfection

Finally another wee dressy blog post! Yaay! Still not put any of my DIY stuff up yet but I promise it's coming!  So, I chose this colour palette due to the fact its everywhere at the moment and right on trend.  I fell in love with this lilac when surfing the River Island website for another skirt I'd spotted in store and online exclusive and a bargain at only £25!! I panicked it would sell out and so ordered it straight away.  I was swaying on whether to go completely co-ord or find  a colour that compliments the skirt however after I spotted this fab top on ASOS for a bargain £9.50 co-ord it was!  However I wasn't up for going completely head to toe in lilac and so teamed it with some nude pointed courts I bought from PRIMARK last summer (yep, believe it) and voila.  I kept accessories reeeeeally simply with an ASOS belt and TOPSHOP simple jewellery.  Hoops and hair up shows the top well I feel and the bag has a slight purple shine which breaks up all the pastel shades.  Slightly OTT but I can't wait to wear it! Hope you like!

Fabulous Florals

I've reeeeeally been neglecting the blog this week with a loads of stuff on my plate.  Apologies guys! Anyway, I can't use that as an excuse without showing some stuff I've been upto and promise to get more regular at this!  Been on placement as always today and yesterday and here's a few bits and bobs I was upto this afternoon.  As we all know we're well into S/S 14 now and A/W14 trends are out already however I my placement is in retail high street store QUIZ's buying office and this week we're looking at floral patterns for high summer and the following transitional period.  Florals for spring summer is such an obvious trend however this year are much moodier and dramatic.  I split my presentation into four types to send  to the buyers in the office.  In each of my presentations I have used S/S14 catwalk examples however combined them with high street examples and various pinterest images which would be suitable and transferrable into developments for the store image.

As always I've got loads to learn and would appreciate any feedback so feel free to leave any comments! Thanks for reading!
